Features
oral-maxillofacial surgery through anatomically correct, 3-dimensional and extremely high-detailed x-rays.
PreXion 3D - Beyond Precision!
high-resolution volume acquisition, offering more projections per 360° rotation
than published specifications from other comparable scanners. It is designed for
dental offices that seek to perform in-office surgical implant procedures, as well
as use 3D imaging for diagnosis in general dentistry, periodontics, and
endodontics, along with planning in oral-maxillofacial surgery.
This small footprint 3D CBCT scanner reconstructs images to industry-standard DICOM
format for compatibility with a variety of 3rd party surgical implant planning software packages.
Key Features of Dental 3D CBCT Scanner
Compact Design, smallest of its kind.
| Fact Size: | Fact Size: (W) 46"×(D) 62" × (H) 76" |
| Merit | The PreXion 3D CBCT Scanner can be installed at almost any location that previously provided space for a panoramic X-Ray. Most locations do not require any shielding |
Hi-speed scan
| Fact | Regular mode acquires image in only 19 sec (standard mode) and 37 sec (high-definition mode) |
| Merit | Great reduction of patient x-ray exposure; Major improvement of examination and thus, diagnosis. |
Hi-Speed Reconstruction
PreXion's multiple XTrillion processors reconstruct CT slices in surprising high speed after scanning. Currently, it is the fastest in the industry. High-speed processing is done by PreXion's world wide well known and unique Xtrillion technology.
Key Features of PreXion 3D Viewer
Realtime 3D Imaging
After the short processing time, images are displayed in
a real-time Volume Rendering mode. VolumePro rendering technology
is provided from TeraRecon,
Inc.
It offers real-time 3D volume rendering with unsurpassed image quality for integration into medical, seismic, scientific, and other high-performance imaging systems.
Axial, coronal,
sagittal and 3-D images are
automatically rendered. This is the reason why PreXion 3D is very
user-friendly and can be operated by everybody. Only the Panoramic
view, as desired with automatically generated cross-sectional views
for accurate measurements has to be developed manually!
Networking
The same data can be operated on a 3D Client PC connected to the Console PC in a network.
The patient data does not have to be moved from the Console PC even if those data will be displayed in different operatories within the network. Patient data can be managed unitarily.
Advanced Image Processing
PreXion 3D, offering a 1:1 imaging scale, provides an optimum balance between image resolution and field of view. With image processing powered by PreXion's XTrillion processor, image reconstruction of 512 projections will only take a very short time in high-resolution mode using 1,024 X-ray projections per 360° rotation.
PreXion 3D’s high-resolution images enable exact measurements, assuring optimal implant placement, without the superimposition of tissue or the inherent projection distortion compared to conventional panoramic systems.
Dental CT Applications:
PreXion 3D can be used in implantology, general dentistry, oral-maxillofacial surgery, and periodontology practices. Its software contains a number of modules for creating 3D images,
along with 2D panoramic views in real-time, providing the clinician with the most accurate assessment of the bone and surrounding anatomy.
When using this scanner, clinicians are able to evaluate the potential implant receptor sites and identify the mandibular canal as subsequent cross-sectional images, allowing for highly accurate measurements from the nerve to the crest of the arch or in relation to the maxillary sinuses.
Advanced Image Processing
- Identifies the location of impacted mandibular 3rd molars relative to the mandibular canal.
- Generates highly accurate 3D images to determine if bone grafts and sinus lifts are needed.
- Offers accurate diagnosis of maxillary sinus disorders and management of impacted cuspids.
- Determines bone level changes and periodontal defects.
- Allows the specialist to determine the 3D architecture of osseous defects.
- Enables diagnosis of periapical pathosis as well as root resorption.
- Provides excellent help for endodontic surgery such as hemisectomy.
